The New Nashville

As Nashville grows, even buildings find they are in the way of progress

On January 6 a former LifeWay employee from the film department, Jeremy Carlson, along with his wife Christine and their three children, Copeland, 5, Greer, 5, and McCall, 3, watched as the building was collapsed into rubble.

As Nashville grows, even young buildings sometimes find they are in the way of progress.

The Draper Tower of the former LifeWay headquarters was just built in 1991, but progress has other plans for the property.

Young as the building was, it was still an historic moment to see the twelve-story building implode. And a crowd gathered in the blocks surrounding the property to watch the event at a safe distance, of course.
