The Man Who Married Nashville

Jason Ridgel

Nashville medical business innovator and business entrepreneur, Jason Ridgel, believes a business should behave like a family.

No one is ever just an employee, he said.

A TSU alumni, Ridgel returned to Nashville from Los Angeles, bringing his medical business with him, because he said Nashville has a different business culture.

His family approach to business is a better fit with Nashville, he said. Ridgel regularly interviews his employees to find out what they want to do with their lives. He finds ways to push them to launch out on their own–often providing the investment for them to do so. I asked him, “So you pay your best people to quit working for you?” He said, “Yes, of course!”

In 2019 Ridgel hosted a party and a faux wedding celebration where he feigned to marry the city of Nashville itself! “I love this city that much!” Ridgel said.
